The new Smiley x Etam collection has launched! Adorning windows across Etam stores in Paris last week, the range features chic and comfortable nightwear and loungewear in pretty pink, soft grey and fresh white.
The iconic Smiley face is embellished in sparkling silver and fuschia sequins across the range, making this special nightwear collection everything you need for a perfect night in!
Smiley is entering into a partnership with fashion brand I.T. CHOCOOLATE on a new apparel and accessories collection.
Launching on August 15th across 20 :CHOCOOLATE stores in Hong Kong and Macao, the range will also launch in :CHOCOOLATE stores across China, Taiwan, Singapore and Canada later this month.
Featuring a colour palette of black, white and grey, with colour pops of yellow, sweaters, t-shirts and leggings all include the iconic Smiley logo in graphic prints. The range is aimed at adults and kids who want to add happy, fun and casual pieces to their wardrobes.
Accessories such as bags, caps and towels all complement the range and complete the look. Prices range from HK$99 – HK$279.
To celebrate the launch, :CHOCOOLATE will be holding in-store promotions and giveaways, including a free towel for customers when spending over HK$600.

The pop up store will be open from July 23rd until the end of August 2014.
Hysan Place and Smiley have also worked together on creating visual marketing campaigns throughout the centre to engage with consumers, and ensure the new pop-up is on everyone’s radar in Hong Kong.

This new and innovative apparel concept is ergonomic, bold and to the point, designed for the digital native where NuSmileys can be scaled across a multitude of media. It is expressive in its messaging and striking in its appearance. Utilising graphics across primary and bright colour palettes, often with fluorescent highlights, with a lean towards Smiley’s electronic music past and the nu rave movement. Whilst also creating a new digital music legacy for the present and future.
This collection is inspired by video gaming, clubbing and new media and features fluorescent and bright colours feature across 90’s inspired retro-feel designs, with fun slogans and bold prints leading the way. Pink, orange, yellow, green and monochrome pieces include crew neck t-shirts, long sleeve tops, vests and jumpers
For girls, cute captions including ‘love’, ‘be mine’ and ‘lucky’ feature alongside smileys transformed with heart and four-leaf clover digi-prints, while for boys there are more boisterous words such as ‘rebel’, ‘strong’ and ‘awesome’.
The Smiley Nu Icons illustrations are thick, regular and angled to compliment digital media’s natural design simplicity and immediacy.
Smiley are delighted to return to this year’s Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin after a 2 year hiatus, to showcase the latest collections to the most influential buyers, designers, press and fashion insiders in the industry.
For SS15, Smiley will be launching its latest offering from premium streetwear collection Smiley London and debuting Smiley World ‘new icons’, an apparel collection inspired by digital emoticons.
Smiley will also be exhibiting its latest technical accessories including sunglasses, headphones and skateboards.

On Friday 5th July, Smiley launched a new partnership in Taiwan with fashion retailer CACO under a backdrop of brand activations.
This launch event took place at the Ximending Mall in Taipei, and featured games, ice creams, DJ sets, live band, dancers, a fashion show and the chance to win Smiley goodies.
The new SS14 collection is available in all CACO stores across Taiwan and targets men and women. Customers can choose from Smiley World designs, which use different emoticons, or the Smiley Original design.
The women’s collection features intimates, including pants and vests, in pastel colours, while the daywear range uses monochrome prints with highlights of yellow on cropped t-shirts, vests, leggings and shorts.
For men, bold designs on vests and t-shirts stand out, and colourful Bermuda shorts complete the casual daytime look.
Accessories also feature throughout this range, including hats, tote bags, purses and rucksacks.
Smiley had a headline slot at this years Dutch music festival ‘RetroPop’, which was played out this month in front of a sold out 10,000 raucous crowd.
This 1980s heritage pop music festival featured a host of top names and was headlined by iconic band Simple Minds.
All festival staff were resplendent in Smiley tee shirts and Smiley supplied bespoke artwork throughout the event site.
Smiley are pleased to announce a new licensing deal with FMCG company Bic, which will see the famous disposable Bic lighters adorned with different Smiley face images and slogans.
The range will include 10 lighters and will launch in France this July, priced between €1.60-€2.00
Smiley licensee Incidence has expanded its retail development with the opening of a pop-up store in Germany.
The shop is located in Berlin Bikini Shopping Centre close to the Zoo Garden and features the full range of Smiley World homeware products.
Decks were spinning, tunes were playing and drinks were flowing as crowds flocked to Boxpark on this sunny evening to be part of a new concept music event and get involved in the DJ scene.
DJ Park are seasoned DJ’s and have been arranging pop-up events across London this summer to spread the word about DJ-ing, perform multiple mixing sessions and help people who are keen to learn the trade and be part of the next DJ generation.

Smiley are excited to announce that they will appear in the much anticipated video game, Just Dance 2015, Ubisoft’s latest installment of the world’s #1 dance game franchise.
Happiness is a major global trend across all areas of fashion, technology and advertising at the moment, and this partnership brings all three together to elevate Smiley into the world of gaming.
Just Dance 2015 was revealed yesterday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, the world’s premiere trade show for computer and video games, during the Ubisoft press conference. A trailer including gameplay footage of the song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams was revealed, which features Smiley in the guise of its iconic yellow smiley face.
Ubisoft’s creative team was inspired by the ‘Happy’ phenomenon while creating the Happy gameplay in Just Dance 2015, which is a tribute to this immensely popular song and movement. The choreography, design and colors of the ‘Happy’ gameplay immerse the players in a universe full of joy and happiness that will bring a big SMILE to every Just Dancer’s face while playing.
Just Dance 2015 will be released in EMEA on October 23rd (October 24th in the UK) and in mid-October in the US on all motion control gaming platforms.

It’s official “Smiley is topping the charts and the Premier League with celebrities this week.”
Despite having an unbelievably successful 12 months that included his band RUDIMENTAL topping the UK charts and even winning a Brit Award for “Best Single of the Year”, that didn’t stop Amir Amor from pulling a sad face for the Smiley cam. We hope that his Pony X Smiley sweatshirt and Smiley sunglasses cheered him up a little!
WALES International Joe Ledley on the other hand looked extremely Smiley in his mesh tee shirt. It’s difficult to expect anything other than happiness after the goalscoring midfielder played a huge part in CRYSTAL PALACE’S spectacular end to the Premier League season. Palace hauled themselves from the foot of the EPL to mid table safety with wins against Chelsea and an amazing comeback against Liverpool.

Smiley and Italia Independent have been this weekend at Silmo in Paris premiering the coolest sunglasses collection for this Autumn Winter party season. Italian Independent is one of the newest sunglasses brands in Italy, unique in terms of style, material and the cool factor. Congratulations from all Smiley Team to Francesco Rossi, the winner of 2013 DJ Awards held last night at Pacha In Ibiza!
The Italian DJ has won the award for “best track of the season” with his track “Paper Aeroplane”.
As part of Anya’s Hindmarch’s SS14 collection, a cheeky and Smiley inspired collaborative piece was launched at the end of her galactic catwalk show.
Drawing inspiration from the plastic bag made most famous in New York, Anya worked with Smiley to create a luxury python Smiley face shopping bag, printed with “Have a nice Day. Thank you!”
Presented from hanging wires, several of the must-have fashion accessories for 2013/14 were displayed between flying models and giant Smiley zorbals in the ceiling at the glamorous Central Hall in Westminster.
Named the ‘Happy Shopper’, it’s typical Anya’s British twist of humour to translate such a easily available plastic product into a desirable and limited edition piece which had heads turning on the final day of London Fashion Week.
