SMILEYWORLD PARTNER WITH FASHION ACCESSORIES LICENSEE IN CHINA

 

For the AW14 season, SmileyWorld have partnered with fashion bags licensee Guangzhou Qiankun to release a new collection of fashion bags and accessories in China.

The collection was previewed by trade and industry insiders on July 28th at the Reed Huabai trade show in Shanghai, where over 50 SmileyWorld designs were showcased.

A bold colour palette of yellow, red, black and white, with flashes of grey and blue, has been used across shoulder bags, backpacks, oversize totes, clutch bags and ipad cases. Designs include camouflage, graffiti, animal and all over Smiley prints, as well as references to countries and cities in the World, such as the British Union Jack and American flags, and London & New York slogans.

The collection is aimed at young adults, and will launch later this year in freestanding SmileyWorld franchised bag stores across China, opened by Guangzhou Quinakun, as well as over 200 SmileyWorld apparel stores opened by franchise partner Shanghai Yihua.

Smiley company partners with established licensees for 2014 Back to School Ranges

Following on from the 2013 best-selling collections, Smiley Company continue their partnerships with several established European licensees to release new ranges of 2014 Back to School products.

This season sees rucksacks, pencil cases, pens, folders, lunch boxes and notebooks designed across different themes, from camouflage to floral and animal prints, monochrome to brights, so there is something for both tween and teen, boys and girls.

Working with Lannoo Graphics for Benelux, Groupe Alpa for France, Herlitz for Germany, Sportandem for Spain and Stationery Team for The Netherlands, the deals are all successful long-term partnerships and will launch throughout Europe from June 2014.

New deals for the 2014 season include Smiley working with Eurocom for Slovenia, and Proburo for Russia.

The 2015 Back to School season will see further growth for Smiley in this popular category, announcing new deals for Brazil with CNT Bags, and Umur for Turkey.

Incidence opens pop-up store in Berlin

Smiley licensee Incidence has expanded its retail development with the opening of a pop-up store in Germany.

The shop is located in Berlin Bikini Shopping Centre close to the Zoo Garden and features the full range of Smiley World homeware products.

SmileyWorld is delighted to share news of another huge retail success. 
Following on from the success of their SmileyWorld stickers, Les Livres du Dragon d’Or (subsidiary of Editis Publishing) have created a collection of 6 sticker books, with themes such as; Peace and Love, Bad Attitude, Too Cute, Geek Style, Love, and Best Friends Forever. Each book has over 500 collectable stickers.

This mini sticker book collaboration, available exclusively in France, surpassed sales of 15.000 units in just 2 months of its launch!

As ever the Smiley crew was in full effect, spreading happiness and pinning trademark Smiley badges to all passers by.

Here we go again with another blogpost from Shanghai! Following from a successful show at Novomania, the CMBE tradeshow is committed to the development of children baby maternity industry in China. Smiley are proud to be a part of it.

CBME cover a wide range of products including toy, food, clothing, shoe, furniture and accessory. Not only a showcase for product, its where the industry picks up the latest trends for little consumers and their mums.
