Smiley CEO Nicolas Loufrani was interviewed on a recent trip to India by CNBC. Here Nicolas gives a unique insight into the history of the brand and also House of Smiley’s current developments.
Smiley took over the prime time airwaves on French TV this month, when over 6 million viewers tuned in to see the up and coming cream of young pop talent band performing Pharrell William’s “Happy” live. The most uplifting song of 2013 was perfectly accompanied with all the contestants rocking Smiley Tees. http://www.smiley.com

Hi Happy People!
This is Smiley Team from Shanghai! Last few days have run away as we were at Novomania in Shanghai to present Smiley Company at one of the most important tradeshows for the Asian market!
As you can see from the pics the happiness forces of Smiley were there to deliver our funny collection, play music and spread our friendly philosophy.
Smiley is alive to make people happy, to share good feelings and enjoy the positive side of life through music, colours and fashion. Smiley London collection is messenger of love through music: that’s why our fashion collection is more than classical apparel… it is a whole experience, passing from the smiley oldskool music compilation available on Itunes , until 1990 inspired apparel line of sporty and edgy tees, sweatpants and hoodies.
Stay tuned on www.smiley.com !
Smiley is no stranger to fashion collaborations. A new edition to the edgy fashion partnerships of the year is with Italian uber-cool brand, ‘Happiness’ – a street style leader in Italy.
The premier launch for this collaboration was at Pitti Uomo in Florence, the leading fashion trade show which is been a launch pad for many successful brands in the past, and where the smiling yellow face got the chance to show for the first time his smiley t-shirts.
Happiness has prided itself on being innovative and original – much like our iconic Smiley. Their stand concept at Pitti was a perfect illustration of this; delivering crowds of onlookers for a real demonstration of Krav Maga, the Israel self-defence martial art with the Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis. Now that’s original!
Enjoy the pics 🙂
